One of my earliest mixtapes after I transitioned from my original dj moniker “Crack Gods Entertainment.” AZ was a huge favorite of our little crew that listened to hip hop in high school. I was only 3 years out and we were still pretty close and hanging out a lot, so the idea of doing a best of AZ seemed both fun and an opportunity to impress my small local audience. This is one of the first mixes where I was using Wavepad a simple but easy to learn and use audio editor. This was the first mixtape in which I “sliced” verses from songs and isolated just AZ’s part, my results were a mixed bag, honestly there’s a few transitions I’d love to redo or rework, but overall for my first time experimenting I am very pleased looking back. There’s also a few sections of records when played together, they compliment each other in a way true hip hop heads across the world can share the greatness of AZ’s discography. Also although the cover calls it "Sosa's Revenge" which is its technical title, its always been known as "Poetic Perfection" on actual CD.
